What is the difference, if any, between this version of Maggi Wurze sauce, and the other one shipped from Germany and slightly more expensive?

The one with the yellow cap is made in China. The one in the red cap is made in Germany. The sauce in the yellow cap is more runny. Very similar to a soy sauce consistency. The sauce in the red cap is thicker, less runny and darker in color. My wife said didn’t like the smell from the one with the yellow cap. The ingredients are slightly different. The red cap one is more expensive in price.

Where is this particular one from?

From this listing for "Maggi European Seasoning", seller "JDJ Trading Co" sold me a "Product of Germany" and seller "happy 702" sold me a "Product from China" so check who the seller is before buying depending on what you want.

why do some bottles have the red and blue banner around it and some dont?

That might be because this one is made in Europe, just as you see in the bottom left corner, the globe is blue, and Europe is red and white. The others are from China, France, Germany, or another country. Maggi probably has a different label for each product. Much like we have different labels for products.

nutrition facts does not list sugar. Does it mean it has 0 sugar?

I currently have the Maggi with the yellow cap, but I had a look at the ingredients. Bare in mind that my version is considered the Asian version as it is a product of China, but distributed in the USA by Nestle. They are: water, salt, wheat gluten, and less than 2% of wheat bran, sugar, acetic acid, artificial flavor, disodium inosinate, disodium guanylate, dextrose, caramel color Nutrition label says 1tsp is 10 calories, 400mg sodium, 0 protein, and 0 carbs.

Maggi is the best

Maggie seasoning is good for every soup you can imagine, it’s super good in making your homemade dressings. I grew up with a German Mom and this was always put in vegetables in soups and sauces and dips.. think of it like Worchester or soy sauce but better! I could go through one of these big bottles every month

My goto condiment.

I was born in Austria 🇦🇹 73 years ago and Maggi seasoning has been our dinner-table condiment for longer than that. It has a slightly salty, savory flavor and I use it in many foods. A few drops in chicken soup is heaven! Try it in soups, stews, sauces, chili, etc. When I finally go, a bottle will be buried with me...

From Europe - the good stuff!

I buy this one from Europe. Other places of production do not produce the quality of this one. The other ones taste watered down.
