It was a lot easier than I anticipated. I'm not the best at measuring, but I used a red ink pen to draw the lines for sizing. It was easy to cut with a pair of scissors. Since it was sized an inch larger then the window itself, I just cut the red ink lines off after I finished its placement. The decal is easy to reposition if needed during installation. I used a squeegee to work out the air bubbles, which worked well. I also used a hard plastic square that was also very useful in working out the air bubbles. It looks beautiful and is exactly the look I was going for on a small window next to my front door. I'm ordering another one for the window in my door.
