Trying to use two audio signals with this, no video. Will this work or must it be an A/V signal?

I used this for a/v signals. but some times you can reverse the in and out for audio, if you do you could have one coming in the out and 4 out. If the 2 audio's are from two separate unit's I don't think it will work.

Does the product come with Audio Video cable or do I need to purchase them separately?

It does not come with the cables. You will need one to connect the switch to your tv and others to connect different devices to the switch.

Can you use this in reverse like as one input and four outputs.

Ignore the other answers for this. Yes, this does work in reverse. I'm using it in reverse for my use-case. Also, you can also have it send the signal to more than one output at a time, by pressing more than one button at the same time, but doing that is a little bit fiddly.

Do the input ports and output port share a common ground? Is the the ground switched or always on, with only signal switched?

Ground or common is never switched off and on. It’s always ground for everything.
