Just what I needed.

I ordered this because Microsoft Office was already installed. When I got it set up and turned it on I had a notice that the fan wasn’t working and immediately it shut down. I tried four times. I notified the seller and they told me the fan should be working and just leave it on for a while. They didn’t read that it shut down on its own. Then they told me I can reset the entire computer, but I asked if that would uninstall Microsoft Office. I did not get a response so I returned the item.

The setup for the SSD 1TB External Drive is not clear as to which USB cable needs to be used for the drive. There are 2 USB Cables provided one is a white cable with USB-A to a USB-C with no other markings on it. The cable needed to operate the external SSD Drive is white with USB-A to a USB-C with the marking 7A on both ends and also the connecting housing is colored red. There was no indication in the User Manual as to which cable to use.

It is set up and ready to go

We bought this as a shared family laptop, and everyone uses it without issues. The kids do their schoolwork, I use it for bills and emails, and my partner watches shows. It's handled everything like a champ.

I just bought this laptop 4-5 months ago and now it’s turning on and I’m being told it could be a circuit board issue, I don’t even know what to do and I’m a student who saved and bought this laptop and now it’s not working. I hope when I reach out to hp this issue is resolved and I get a refund or replacement.
