The vinyl edition of Nirvanas hit album, NEVERMIND, which helped usher in the Grunge era of the 1990s. Nevermind is the second studio album by the American rock band Nirvana, released on September 24, 1991. Produced by Butch Vig, Nevermind was the group's first release on DGC Records. sought to make music outside the restrictive confines of the Seattle grunge scene, drawing influence from groups such as as the Pixies and their use of "loud/quiet" dynamics. It is their first album to feature drummer Dave Grohl. Despite low commercial expectations by the band and its record label, Nevermind became popularcess in late 19991, largely due to the largely to the ity of its first singing. By January 1992, it had replaced Michael Jackson's album Dangerous at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. The album also produced three other successful singles: "Come as You Are", "Lithium", and "In Bloom". The Recording Industry Association of America has certified the album Diamond (over 10 million copies shipped), the album has sold Over 30 million copies worldwide. Nevermind was in part responsible for bringing alternative rock to a large mainstream audience, and has been ranked highly on lists of the greatest albums of all time by publications such as Rolling Stone and Time. Review: どっぷりとハマっています。 - 自分が二十歳過ぎの頃、流行っていました。当時、自分はあまりよく聴かないでこのCDを売ってしまったのだけれどもそれから三十年の歳月が経った今、改めてよく聴き直してもとてもよく出来たアルバムだということを実感しました。また、このアルバムにどっぷりとハマっています。 Review: 音圧の時代に失った『空間』を、今アナログ盤で取り戻す。ニルヴァーナが世界を変えた衝動の記録 - ニルヴァーナの代表作『Nevermind』が発売された1991年、私は21歳でした。当時、本作は世界中で爆発的なヒットを記録していましたが、私は最新の音楽シーンから少しずつ距離を置くようになっていました。CDの普及とともに「音圧競争（ラウドネス・ウォー）」が激化し、音を幾重にも重ねる高密度のミックスが主流となる中で、80年代までの音楽が持っていた「空間」や「引き算の美学」が失われていくように感じていたからです。そのため、本作をリアルタイムで手にすることはありませんでした。 転機となったのは2022年、ヤマハのネットワーク・ターンテーブル「TT-N503」を導入したことです。この機材で、あえて90年代以降の録音をアナログで聴き直してみたいという好奇心が湧き、本作をアナログ盤で迎え入れました。 レコードに針を落とすと、静寂からサビで一気に爆発するロック史の金字塔「Smells Like Teen Spirit」が幕を開けます。磨き上げられすぎず、ラフでありながら強烈な中毒性を持つその響きは、アナログの質感と驚くほど合致していました。気だるい情緒が漂う「Come as You Are」や、静と動が交互に押し寄せる「Lithium」など、随所にグランジの真髄が息づいています。 正直に申し上げれば、私の音楽的な好みは依然として70〜80年代の構成美にあります。本作を聴いていても、時に集中力を欠く瞬間があるのは否めません。しかし、それを一瞬で帳消しにするほどの圧倒的な輝きと衝動が、このアルバムには確かに宿っています。 一言でいえば、「衝動がそのまま音になった名盤」。世界を一変させたその爆発力を、今、アナログ盤の針を通して体感することに大きな意味を感じる一枚です。
