New Favorite Board Game!!!!
I bought this game as a Christmas present for my girlfriend. I was attracted to it by the beautiful design, kind of like Wingspan. But I actually found the game super interesting! I've only played with the two of us so far, but it's felt very strategic. Took a second to understand, but after watching a video online, wasn't hard to pick up. It would be really easy to learn if you have someone play it with you who has already played. The most important part is knowing everything for setup and reset between rounds.

Fantastic game - beautiful, satisfying, fun - new family favorite!
Wow! This game was an absolute delight, from initial unboxing, to first playthrough, and yes, even to the packing up stage. I've played the first edition once, and I though the updated rules flowed well, the artwork was beautiful, the mechanisms were fun, and our family can't wait to play. And if, like me, you're one of those OCD types that likes having everything packed away nice and neatly, the way that everything fits into the box is SO satisfying, there's even a one-pager that shows you how to do it. We have the Deluxe edition - highly, highly recommend!

It's difficult to learn, but so much fun to play!
I purchased this game for my son because he loves to visit national parks. The box is organized very well, as there is a place for all the cards and the pieces fit into covered containers. The cards with pictures of the national parks are beautiful. My son was so happy that I purchased the summit edition instead of the base version. The instruction manual was very confusing. It has too many pages and there are so many components of the game to understand. The first time we played, we had to reread the manual, look for YouTube videos and ask Google for clarification. Once we understood the rules, the game was really fun to play. There is strategy involved because you need to try to earn more points than your opponents and it often takes planning on where to move your token next and which park to purchase. You can often be discouraged during the game when your opponents snatch up parks that you were planning to obtain or when your move is blocked on the game board by their token. We have already played the game multiple times. Once you get the hang of it, it is great fun. Everyone is engaged and you can see them planning their next move. This is now one of our favorite family games. I definitely recommend Parks Summit Deluxe. If you gave up because the rules were too confusing, give it a chance and try it again. Once you understand how to play it, you will love it!

Fun game, beatufiful, medium-low difficulty.
Excellent game. The second edition includes the expansions from the first edition, making it even more fun to play. I think this game is easy to learn and teach, and I would consider it medium-low difficulty. A playthrough takes about 1 hour, and it's great that it supports up to 5 players.

A better edition of a modern classic
This is an excellent new edition of a classic modern board game. It's streamlined rules that ease setup and play while mantaining beautiful artwork and theme. If you already own the previous edition, maybe you don't need it, but check it out anyways. This is a great family game that offers enough strategy paths for a seasoned gamer. Quality components and a bigger box that includes the expansion, this second edition is so good. Very good delivery by Amazon.

Great game was sent what I was expecting
Honestly very fun game as someone who loves hiking and being outdoors and seeing a game for national parks was fun however I thought i had paid for a brand new one was instead sent a used one that had every thing punched out and the pieces incorrectly placed in the sorters. im not even sure if I was given all the pieces or if they're any missing and on top of that there was food stuck to the bottom of one of the backpack trackers just kinda disgusting and slightly disappointed but all together a very fun game

Beautifully Designed and Fun Too
A beautifully designed game and one that's a fun way to explore the parks. The videos online from the company on how to play are cute. At first the rules seem complicated, but once you're playing you realize they aren't. We enjoy playing and learning about new parks!

Like Ticket to Ride stopped to have a philosophical conversation
This is an odd game. It is both simple and somewhat difficult to pick up having a beautiful cohesive design with an abundance of components to keep track of, with beginner-friendly gameplay that probably makes a great gift for people who have patience...It's something that is definitely not effortless to pick up, especially for the complete novice. In a way it reminds me of the fast paced Ticket to Ride but, slowing down and stopping to visit parks, introducing resource management, taking pictures, and learning about the numerous moving parts involved such as gaining permanent gear cards, visiting or reserving park cards, the 1 season card everyone gets a bonus from per season until it reset for a total of 4 seasons with the tile areas or equivalent train tracks reset, shuffled and added onto each season, the year card dealt to each player that is the only hidden thing from other players to gain a few extra victory points at the end, the temporary canteen card that is reset at the end of a season, hiker movement that may move right any number of tiles, but has an added complication of campfire restrictions when visiting the same tile-environment as another player, the maximum of 12 token resources per player, etc. It's a bit like being presented with a sumptuous feast of all manner of foods in a royal court, with careful minuteau one must observe before diving into the feast. It may be intimidating breezing through the rule book thinking you'll instantly pick it up, but after 1 season everyone is on board and it turns into a very enjoyable experience to return to again and again.

The pieces (and the box) are designed beautifully. The gameplay is fun too and easy to learn and explain. There's some competitiveness involved, but mostly you are just trying to score the most points by being as efficient as you can. After some point it becomes a bit repetitive, but still a nice experience.
