Question 1

Can anyone comment on the life of these pens? Do they dry out pretty quickly or last a long time (with or without a lot of use). Thank you

My daughter has been using them daily for her school agenda and random scribbling for about 3 months. She's hard on everything and they are holding up nicely. My secret to dried out markers (no matter the brand) is a brief dip of the pen nib in a warm alcohol and water soloution, then I put the cap on (make sure its clicked in place) and set the entire marker cap side down in a cup of plain very hot water for 5-10 minutes. The heat creates a bit of internal pressure that coupled with the moistened tip, should get the ink flowing again.

Do these bleed thru to the next page?

Yes, they do bleed through the paper somewhat.  I'm using halfway decent paper and planned to use these pens for note-taking, but I won't be able to take notes on both sides of the paper.  IT definitely bleeds through enough that using both side of the paper will make my notes kind of illegible.

It's a beautiful set for the money, but if you're using them for note-taking and want to use both sides of the paper, I'd look for a different product.

Are these good for extensive notetaking? I usually go through 5-7 pages of notes a week

I use them every day for everthing. Ive had them little over 3 months.  I no longer use a regular ink pen. I take tons of notes and do alot of reasearch. Ive also been using them to transfer over my recpies and for journaling. So yes they are great for extensive use.

I have been using them for note taking daily and they are holding up pretty well. I color code my notes and they have been wonderful for that. They are even and do not smudge, bleed, or stain the surrounding pages. Overall they have been a good buy.
