Hideaway Ironing Board Premium Maple with Shaker Door

Great product to add functionality and organization to our laundry room. Installation was easy with no issues. All the hardware was included and worked fine. I opted not to use the sheet rock screws supplied with the unit but instead used some construction screws which I already had. The shelf doesn't quite allow the large iron to sit square but needs to be angled in slightly. If it was a quarter inch deeper our large iron would fit better but I understand the reasoning for the size. I'm glad I finally did this project.

I sold my home and downsized. Among the many things I missed was my built-in, hideaway ironing board. When I found this one on Amazon I thoroughly researched it and it seemed to be well built. Well, that is an understatement. It is even better than my previous ironing board. It is indeed well built but also has an extra feature, a shelf to store the iron, starch, and spray water bottle. My other one had a small board for sleeves and other narrow garment pieces so that was part of my wish list. This one has that feature as well. The wood is beautiful, so much so I’m not going to paint over the lovely wood grains. I’ll either lightly stain it or simply seal it! It arrived perfectly intact and earlier than expected. I am so happy with everything about this purchase. I especially LOVE that is proudly made in the USA by skilled craftsmen!

While I haven’t installed this in my new house yet, I know it’s relatively easy because it identical to one I have in my current house. The one I got is unfinished maple and the quality and smoothness of the door are excellent. My only gripe is the old school surface mount exposed hinges. The hardest part of installing it is being sure that 1) you do indeed have a full standard width stud bay. That’s not always the case. Use a stud finder and also poke some small test holes to find the edges of the studs before starting the big hole. And 2) be sure there are no wires or pipes running either vertically or horizontally through the area you intend to use. Don’t take that lightly. In my new home’s laundry room there was literally only one space available and it’s right beside the door into the laundry so when in use, it’s right inside the doorway. Not a dealbreaker for us but it could befor others. The one in my last house that I mentioned worked great for 40 years. More than happy with the product.

Easy to install, good quality and works very well. Less one star for the quality of the hardware provided for the price paid. Hinges provided are cheap and exterior. I used concealed/hidden soft close hinges ($8 set) that look better and are much better quality. Also, the covers are a little loose, so I simply pulled them tight and used a staple gun to staple them under the board. Staples easy to remove and/or replace as needed.

This ironing board cabinet exceeded expectations. It is solid wood with DOVETAIL joints! The product functions exactly as described. The swiveling ironing board is sturdy and quiet. The product comes with all the screws needed to install it as well as both the ironing board cover and the arm sleeve cover. It looks beautiful in my laundry room. I definitely recommend this product. It is well worth the money. Also, if there are any issues, the customer service is superb. I was actually missing an item when it was delivered and I called the number included. I spoke to an actual person who apologized for that and immediately put that item in the mail. Everything associated with this product has been top notch!

It is a nice looking piece and sturdy enough for my use. It doesn't need a floor prop (like many others), which would make it impossible to do some garments. The sleeve board is a bonus, and although mine is not installed properly, I'm still able to use it. Because it is partly recessed into the wall, the cabinet doesn't stick out that far, and can still store both boards and the iron. I had my carpenter install it for me, but I probably could have done it with a drywall saw.

Good design and good materials, but poor construction quality and craftsmanship. It’s almost like the company doesn’t care how well the product is made. Mine showed up with the back falling off, the Tie rack bar being cut too short to stay in place and rough cuts around the entire thing with wisps of wood hanging off. Seems like the company’s quality is poor.
