I moved to an older home and I wanted my home to feel modern. These lights are perfect! You can switch from yellow to white light with a switch inside. The dimmer is a setting, to which you select how bright you want your lights to be with a switch inside. I had my electrician add a dimmer to switch and it is perfect! I had these installed on plaster ceiling which was wayyyyy more work than drywall.
