We owned a Vitamix many years ago. It was an extremely good product, but extremely noisy and hard to clean. My wife and son wanted to get a new one to make smoothies and milkshakes, so we purchased this one. It fits on the counter underneath the upper wall cabinets. It has plenty of power and a wonderful self cleaning mode. Vitamix just puts out a good product. I highly recommend this.

I had a Vitamix 2 series before that and I love it. Had it for over 5 years when I saw this model I didn’t think there would be many new up grades. I was wrong this machine is a beast. Also new blender cup come with plastic top instead of the rubber ones in the past where they would get discolored from chilis or just wear and tear. I highly recommend this. The power of this machine is amazing.

worth the price. makes and heats soup all on the blender pitcher! it also self cleans! Goes through ice perfectly, blends soooo smooth. We love it and have heard it lasts a lifetime.

I LOVE My Vitamix!!! I bought a Vitamix back in the 70s; it lasted for 40 plus years; I used it daily. I just recently upgraded to the Ascent V. I couldn't be more pleased. The versatile programs for preparing a variety of tasty concoctions are simple to do. The directions and symbols are uncomplicated. It is so easy to clean! In just a couple of minutes, it is ready to use again. It blends food beautifully .. great smoothies, soups, and dips..etc. I did buy the Stainless Steel container to use with it as I prefer using SS. I love it also. It is important to make sure if you buy the SS container that you get the one compatible for the Ascent V. This is one powerful and easy to use appliance. Don't balk at the price. This machine has already paid for itself. And you can choose a payment plan to pay it off without interest through Amazon. The Ascent V Vitamix is an investment in my health. And I Am Worth It!!!

Hands down the best blender I’ve ever owned by far. It’s not inexpensive but I feel I’m getting a superior blender, especially with all the features it has, so to me it’s worth the investment. I’m looking forward to all I will be able to do with this blender. It’s a powerful blender that has no problem getting the job done. I honestly wish I got this sooner. Also, the cleanup is one of the things I like the most. It’s certainly not the quietest blender but for me it’s not unreasonable for the power it has.

Cannot go wrong with a vitamix! There's a reason they've been THE blender to own for decades! You don't need a review! Buy the thing! But seriously I wouldn't know what to say? It's the best blender in the 🌎

Pros: - sturdy bottom part of the blender with simple attachment that does not require screwing or turning into proper position - simplicity of control panel - blade that you cannot cut yourself on - self-cleaning program Cons: - as much as I like the simplicity of control panel, I don't like the menu icons that are very similar and it's hard to remember which one is for what program - also it takes too long for blender to boot up after turning on the main switch - to start blending I have to press the start button twice - thin plastic container that doesn't belong on expensive blender, hard to clean if you need to do it manually - burning new smell on higher speeds (initially I thought it will go away, but now I've been using it for a month and it's still there) - when I put in harder vegetable, it wouldn't spin, even on higher power - low quality plastic tamper, that needs to be used quite often, but it still gets pretty messy - tamper holder mount next to main on/off switch makes it hard to access the switch, and it holds tamper too tight - no replace or return if damaged Overall for the price of blender I would accept only one minor con.

Stopped working in 1 month. The company asked me send it back for repair and incur the cost of shipping. I was aghast and spent the same my to return the product for a full refund

I’m not sure yet because I haven’t used it but right off the bat I’m not impressed at all with the tamper. It looks and feels like a kids toy. It reminds me of a kids bowling set pin. Unbelievable for a product this expensive to have a part that’s so cheaply made and looks ridiculous!
