Quilted Stretch-to-Fit Mattress Pad by Hanna Kay, Clyne Collection (Queen)

For over 10 years now I have owned and managed an oceanfront vacation rental which is booked solid from May 1 to Oct 1 with a 3 night minimum. Mattress pads are laundered between all guests - every 3 to 7 days - with bleach! Sand is as prevalent as air; it's ALWAYS present even in the mattress pads which tends to cut fabric fibers over time. Over the years I have spent a small fortune on mattress pads (up to $95-$100 each) every year and sometimes twice within a year. Even the most expensive ones literally fall apart, fray, tear, etc especially on the sides because most of them use cheap materials such as recycled plastic (think of the first reusable recycled 99¢ grocery store bags - yeah THAT) everywhere but the top and all of them were just plain ill-fitting. In June 2016 I ordered several of these mattress pads after the 2 month old ones (2 @ $89 each) were literally disintegrating. After buying every brand and style of mattress pad known to man, nothing compares to this one and I will never buy any other mattress pad but this one as long as I live!!! They are so well made out of soft but durable materials and they are a perfect snug fit. They have laundered beautifully about 70 times now and to my amazement they show no signs of wear and tear even with the constant inevitable sand. The elastic isn't even stretched out - still fit snug. Best of all, this mattress pad put an end to a constant cycle of searching for and buying yet another mattress pad and feeling ripped-off every time for years and years!

I needed a lightweight mattress pad for the summer - the one we usually use was sleeping way too hot, not to mention that it would not fit in my compact size front loader and having to take it to the laundromat was a pain. I was choosing between this one and Fitted - Luxurious Down Alternative Mattress Pad - 100% Cotton , 300 Thread Count - Queen Size (60x80") , but ultimately decided to go for the Hanna Kay pad because the other one had a number of reviews mentioning off-gassing and an unpleasant smell even after washing while this pad did not. I have to say, in spite of the price, this is a great product! Yes, it's not going to affect the way your mattress feels, but it will add a layer of protection and, most importantly, it does not sleep hot. We have a natural latex mattress, and with our other mattress pad I kept thinking it was the latex foam that sleeps hot. But when we switched to this much less expensive pad I no longer have any issues with waking up sweaty and miserable in the middle of the night, and that alone is well worth the price. In terms of the way it's made - the pad is quite thin, but nicely made (no loose stitches, once again unlike our old pad where the quilting started unraveling from day one). As everyone has mentioned, the sides are fabric, which looks much sturdier than other options with elastic "netting". It's very compact and easily fits even in my tiny 2 cu.ft. Miele washer and corresponding dryer. I've washed it 3 times so far on hot with no shrinking, pilling or other adverse effects. Overall, if you are looking for a non-waterproof breathable protective cover for your mattress, I highly recommend this. As somebody who sleeps hot I've been very happy with this pad, as it does not affect my body temperature, and I've been testing it out through the hot summer months. In all honesty I'm not sure I will be putting the old mattress pad back on the bed, the Hanna Kay has been much more comfortable at 1/5 of the price.

After unwraping it, I checked this cover for any defects, and then tried it on my mattress for fit. It is good quality with a fairly strong elastic. I then washed the cover in warm water on gentle, and then dried the cover in a medium heated dryer. After washing I checked it for any damage, and there was none. The only change I noticed is that the woven material which holds the cover on the mattress was a bit less deep, and did not extend under the mattress as much. It lost some depth under the mattress, but it still has 4 inches underneath, and the elastic holds it in place firmly. I've been sleeping on my bed with this cover for more then a week, and it has held tightly on my mattress. Even my fitted bottom sheet has held firmly at all the corners with this cover beneath it. The bottom sheet was usually pulling off the mattress with my old cover, but this no longer has happened with this cover. It's not as filled with padding as I expected, but it's very comfortable and doesn't bunch up under the sheet. Because there was slight shrinkage. Around the woven skirt only, you need to pull the last corner in place by holding the cotton top, and avoid pulling on the elastic or the skirt, or it may damage it. Just pull the cotton top corner tightly with one hand, and then slip the elastic under the mattress with the other hand I paid 2x more for my old cover on discount, and this item is a much better quality. I'm glad I bought this cover for it's higher quality and value.

This is the first mattress pad I have purchased at any price that actually fits the queen size bed I own from edge to edge. This thing was not expensive, much less than the others I have purchased and it looks great on my bed as well. Now it is not a real thick pad and it is not a super crappy thin one, but I am very happy with the quality and look of it. It can also be washed on high temps. The mattress pad I just tossed, melted on the bottom after the 8th time I washed it and it was dried on the synthetics cycle and still the bottom melted. Won't happen with this one. 10 year warranty as well. I believe it is American made and you can tell in the quality. All I can say is, if you are not looking for a really thick mattress pad but want one that will last, I truly believe this is the one to buy. I for one am glad I took the time to research on Amazon what products were out there. I am pretty sure I made the right choice.

It has been over ten years ince I ordered a bed cover, in fact, when I ordered it I had one of the older style matresses with the springs. The mattress cover was for a much thinner mattress and so since I bought a thicker, latex matress with a pillowtop everytime I made the bed it was a terrible struggle to fit the pad over the mattress. Also added to the struggle was the fact that the cover had become worn and threadbare. Finally, in frustration I gave in to my husbands complaints and ordered a new mattress cover. My old one had been a bit pricey, $60 and I was surprised to find this one, that looked very similar but was for a deeper mattress was a lot less. I washed it and put it on my bed last night. My husband and I marveled at the fit. No straining to fit it over every corner. No tears or threadbare bits, just pure white quilty goodness. We have a newer matress and a foam topper and it still fit with room to spare. Sometimes, with the old mattress cover, I would wake up in the middle of the night sleeping on bare mattress because the cover had slipped off and taken the fitted sheet with it. Then I'd have to wake my husband up and then we'd pull the cover back over the corners trying to make it fit for a few more hours. Gawd, this sounds so ridiculously cheap of me now that I am typing it out. I really should have bought this cover sooner! So, to sum up, I love this mattress cover and I have already reaped the benefits of not having to get up in the middle of the night to remake the bed!

I love this Martha Clyne mattress pad. I ordered it after reading good reviews and it was delivered right away and in good condition. The lightly quilted fabric is very nice and comfortable to sleep on. The pad floats easily over the bed without rumpling or bunching anywhere, and the corners fit my deep queen mattress perfectly. It washes and dries beautifully. I like it so well I'm going to order a second one for the bed in my guest room. I've tried many other mattress pads and have been generally disappointed. The corners on some pads were too shallow to fit my deep mattresses. Some pads were too bulky and lumpy, and were hard to wrestle into place on the bed because the elastic would scrunch the pad into a ball, making it hard for one person to get it over the mattress. The bottom layer of fabric on one expensive pad shredded the first time I washed it, despite me following the laundering instructions. This mattress pad has none of those problems. I am very happy with it.

I've skimmed though some of the reviews before I bought this MATTRESS PAD. The low rating are from people who think this is a mattress topper or something. The main thing this product is for putting it on a mattress so you don't have sheets on a mattress, you need the barrier. I bought this one because it looked a lot like the mattress pad that I currently have. I needed to buy a new one because I recently got a 4 inch memory foam topper on top of my queen sized bed. The foam topper added a thickness that my old mattress pad couldn't fit. This one is great for a thick mattress (or one with a memory foam topper). The thickness of my mattress and foam topper is 17 inches, and this mattress pad fits great. This pad is well made for the price. The stitches aren't coming apart and I wash my mattress pad along with the sheets and I've never noticed any unusual wear. It's not too thick and it works well for what a mattress pad is for. If you're looking for something that will had a thick layer on your mattress, you need to search for a "Mattress topper" not a mattress pad.
