I have to admit, I was more than a little surprised just how nice quality this box is. As it was coming from China, I wondered if the hinges, latch etc would be as nice as the picture suggests. They actually are. The box had no scratches, defects, no chips, lovely and smooth finish etc. It feels very sturdy and I'm using it to hold a bunch of fidget type toys I keep on my coffee table. They were always piled up in one area, now they're neatly held in this box. The only thing they could have done better would have been to include some felt feet to put on the base. Fortunately, I had some small round felt sticky pads (brown in color) which I added to the base and it now sits nicely on top of a polished coffee table without the worry of long term scratches etc, I'd definitely recommend this box whether for keepsakes, jewelry or some other usage (like mine). It's very sturdy, well made, beautifully finished, nice fitted gold colored hinges including a nice solid clasp.

I got it to store my shoe cleaning equipment. It is great for any kind of storage you want to use it for. It is light weight and yet sturdy. The color is very nice. I love that you can lock it which makes it even better for usage

Box is nice. And a good size for pictures or trinkets you want to keep. The latch and hinges are small and in no way secure, but it looks nice sitting on the shelf.

A very nice, attractive wooden box. Sits on a side table and neatly collects and hides odds and ends that I like to have near by.
