Actually BOTH McCormick taco seasonings are DAIRY FREE, the difference is the Premium has cumin and cornmeal, the regular has no cumin and uses potato starch as the thickener.

The "premium" is loaded with cornmeal and will make your taco meat taste gritty and bland. Stick to the basic orange label McCormick stuff.

I prefer to purchase taco seasoning in bulk like this because the amount in the small packets you buy from the grocery store do not offer enough flavor. This way I can add all the flavor I want. It’s not quite as tasty as Old El Paso, but it’ll do. I usually sprinkle in a tad more cumin and onion powder.
