Very soft hay. Rabbit loves it. Now prefers this to first cut which is more ‘spikey’ although he still likes the seed heads. Although he doesn’t have teeth problems, he is getting older.

I've been searching for this type of hay. It's 3rd cut so is soft and green, for the most part. Our pigs don't like the hay that has a more dried hay quality- won't eat it so a waste of money. I give them pressed Timothy hay cubes to ensure their teeth stay "trimmed." I will order this over and over... excellent quality and price. THANK YOU from our house hippos! ❤️🐹

I would like to setup subscribe and save but the package comes as shown so I have to look at the extended weather forecast for rain or snow before I order, I’ve lost a couple of packages because of rain.

When my bunny had a broken tooth, I felt terrible watching him chew on his normal hay just to spit it out because he couldn’t break it down easily. I started to get nervous about his stomach health when he went several days without consuming hay and only eating other softened foods. As soon as I opened the box of third cutting hay, he jumped in and began eating! As his tooth began to grow in, I started mixing in other hays, but he definitely seems to prefer the taste of this hay and often eats it by the mouthful. The price is higher than I normally pay for hay, but as a temporary measure to get him eating again I was okay with it. One other thing to note is that I have noticed that his poops are smaller, darker, and harder when he eats only this hay. Third cutting Timothy hay is higher in protein and lower in fiber than first or second cut, so it is probably best not to feed this hay long term as rabbits need a high-fiber diet. I started mixing in second cut hay and saw improvements in his poops. In summary, this hay is great for buns with tooth issues but may have drawbacks if used long term.
