Just not as hot as a big iron and doesn't steam. So small projects and quick needs it will be good for. Even young teens this would be a great first iron for. **Q: can I use this on a large heat transfer? It’s about 10“ x 10“** A: I dont see why you couldnt! Its small and convienient to use as I dont have to drag out my big iron **Q: What is the difference between this and other one it’s almost half the price I paid just a few months ago?** A: Nothing. Just the brand. **Q: Would this be useful for perler bead projects? I usually use my iron on the cotton setting and get a good melt.** A: I do think it would be useful. The only that I think might tricky it’s having constant pressure over the project and holding to long in one spot then the melt could appear off. I think for peeler bead project maybe a small heat press 9x9 depending on the size of your projects might be the way to go!
