Review: I got this to do while I was recovering from hernia surgery... - I bought this to give me something to do while I recovered from hernia surgery. I don't remember the last time I did anything associated with paint by number or any painting kit (novice). This is not something to do in a rush as there are some sections that are very small (.5 mm x 5 mm). The kit came with 4 brushes and I have not had any issues with flopping a lot of paint over the lines because of the brush (but I'm not perfect). Sometimes, the paint does get thick but just as mentioned in the instructions, I just add a drop or two of water and mix with a toothpick. Problem solved. There is a lot of painting to this kit. My guess is close to 40 - 50 hours of painting but I started in the areas that have large areas of the same color. I'm pretty sure it will be closer to 70 -80 hours but again, I'm a novice at this. I'm glad I got it. It has kept me busy during the recovery. I don't paint when I have pain from the surgery though as I've usually taken medication and a little drowsy. At this time, I will more than likely get another kit from the same vendor (Ledgebay). The kit is not very expensive and seems complete. My only fear is that I will need additional paint (extra full paint set for $10). I plan on updating after I finish.

I bought this to give me something to do while I recovered from hernia surgery. I don't remember the last time I did anything associated with paint by number or any painting kit (novice). This is not something to do in a rush as there are some sections that are very small (.5 mm x 5 mm). The kit came with 4 brushes and I have not had any issues with flopping a lot of paint over the lines because of the brush (but I'm not perfect). Sometimes, the paint does get thick but just as mentioned in the instructions, I just add a drop or two of water and mix with a toothpick. Problem solved. There is a lot of painting to this kit. My guess is close to 40 - 50 hours of painting but I started in the areas that have large areas of the same color. I'm pretty sure it will be closer to 70 -80 hours but again, I'm a novice at this. I loved the final results. It looks very much like our house. But - not for the faint of heart, this pbn has a lot of small straight lines. Keep your paint thin.
