PIT66 LED 3rd Brake Light, Fit Dodge Ram 1500 2002-2008

So I have had quite a few issues with 3rd brake lights ordering the ones for my vehicle then them not fitting properly, or not even being close to right. However this unit was great it fit perfectly, is extremely bright, looks really cool with the light design, a big thing for me I like is that there’s no leaking at all it seems as though the gasket is thicker than normal on the back of the light ensuring no leaking will happen so I was very impressed definitely recommend

Easy to install. Recommend sealing all of the edges of the external housing with RTV before installing it to help prevent water entry

The 3rd brake light on my Leer truck cap had literally disintegrated after 20 years in the sun. This was a perfect fit for the indented mounting location and it works perfectly. The male molex pins that were pre-installed on the new brake light wires are bigger than the female receivers in the molex connector Leer installed on my truck, so I had to splice the wires onto the original wires going to the molex connector. None of the auto parts stores near me had molex pins of any size.

Had to order a replacement because the first one filled up with water after the first rain. Taking it off was a nightmare because of tape stuck really well so they got it back all torn apart and they're nice little box when I got the new one. I sealed the new one with silicone around the seams so hopefully it doesn't leak so far so good even after a car wash. Be aware that you have to take sealing it into your own hands or it will fill up with water and become worthless. Update they sent me a replacement within the 30-day. For returns and I install the second one I did additional silicone around the wire penetration just in case that might be where water is coming in which it wasn't because the second one completely filled with water and condensation once again therefore I would just determine that this is just a piece of junk and that the manufacturer doesn't care. Most people are probably getting condensation in the light and are unaware of it it will corrode and stop working and then you're stuck again with a failing brake light. Anyway I will take this up with Amazon and I'm going to get my refund one way or another

This very well may be a five star item. I am giving it four stars only because I have to base it on looks alone. It looked perfectly fine and capable. But I traded off the pick up and let the new owner Take it with him so he could put it on. So I never got to see it in action so I can only honestly only give it four stars for that reason alone. But if I ever needed it again, I would not hesitate to buy it because it did look and feel like it was a pretty decent quality.

Just had this Truck Cap Third Brake Light installed to replace old light in top center of ARE camper shell on Chevy Colorado few days ago……So far seems to be doing Great !!! Nice & Bright…..Because it’s totally and directly exposed to bad / all weather…. I *Clear Caulked around the edges to keep water out ( which is what happened to the old one )…..Very happy with the way this worked out !!! Did not need Traffic Summons from City…..( Fine…Court… and the 3 points against Driving Record )….

Replaced a brake light on a Raider canopy, this new one fit perfectly easy install, bright and works great, old one had water in it, mini aqauarium.

So far was easy install and good cargo light at night

very easy to install and came with ample wire to connect to harness.

Works looked mint for the first couple months started to sweat inside now always has water in it
