I’ve been using Downy Soft & Gentle fabric softener for a bit now and I actually really love it. It makes our clothes feel super soft without being too heavy or coated, which I’ve noticed with some other brands. The scent is really light and clean—not overpowering at all, which is perfect for me and my kid since we’re sensitive to strong smells. It was super easy to use, just added it to the washer and it did its thing. I’ve also noticed our clothes come out less wrinkled and just feel fresher overall. Even after a few wears, they still feel soft. Only small thing is I wish the scent lasted a tiny bit longer, but honestly I prefer that over something too strong. Overall, definitely a staple in our laundry routine now!

I’ve been buying this fabric softener for almost a year now. For someone who is pretty sensitive to smell I don’t like overpowering smells. This is so gentle, but it smells so awesome. I wish this came as a plug-in for the house or room spray. I cannot give it enough praise. If you’re looking for something that has that continuous fresh clean smell, but isn’t overpowering and doesn’t make you nauseous this is the scent great value for the money. I love that is skin friendly cause I like hypoallergenic and I have sensitive skin so my detergent I use this either all or Tide clear they pair well. With a capful, it makes our laundry smell amazing. It works just like the beads, but a lot cheaper!

This fabric softener is great. The smell is nice and light and it softens fabrics well. I will say the consistency is a little more thin than other softeners I’ve tried before but I like that it’s gentle for our sensitive skin. Great value for money compared to local stores - it’s a pretty big bottle! Also ordering through Amazon saves the burden of having to carry it home from a local store!

Clean, Fresh, and Not Overwhelming I love that this Downy Gentle isn't packed with heavy dyes or intense perfumes. The "Soft + Fresh" scent is very subtle and just smells like clean laundry. It does a fantastic job of reducing static and making everything feel high-quality and soft. Highly recommend if you want a "clean" feel without the chemical smell.
