I love this easy to clean bamboo coaster. It is ideal to place a tea pot or coffee pot on to protect my wooden kitchen work surfaces. I have also used it to hold a very hot casserole on my dining table. The heat from the casserole would go through ordinary table mats & mark the oak surface. This bamboo coaster is really heat resistant & no heat penetrates it. I only wish that they were made in larger sizes.
