Organic Perlite and Vermiculite Horticultural

Great product! BIG pieces with very little powder. Perfect addition to my potting medium. I won’t buy big box store ground up perlite ever again. I’m very pleased with moisture and drainage. Good products make a big difference in plant growth and health.

This size vermiculite is SO hard [for me] to find. It’s great for holding a bit of moisture when added to a totally gritty mix with no soil or coir added. Plus, it’s also a mineral treated with heat to “puff up” so it retains a bit of l moisture, and your plants get an additional boost from it, as well. However, I don’t advise using if your succulent or cactus mix is heavy with soil or coir. I found this product to be of high quality and equal particulate sizes of pretty close to 1/4”, give or take a minuscule amount. I highly recommend this brand coarse vermiculite.

This is a great deal. I go through a lot of perilite because of the amount of plants that I have. I always order this. It lasts for a while. There is a lot of white powder in the bottom of the box so use gloves or a scooper and rinse the perilite when you get near the bottom. This never fails me.

The first order was perfect, the second order was HUGE perlite, super chunky and not appropriate for my aroid and monstera substrate mix. The first order was a size 4 and perfect for for chunky mixes for aroids and monsteras. Some powder, but not a lot. It was clean and works well for drainage. I don't know what the size of the second order (I reordered the exact same product) is for. At the correct size (4), it aerates the soil and keeps the soil from staying too wet, has no smell, and had very little dust. I am going to give this seller one more try.
