Very sturdy and it gets the job done. It is made from good quality materials. Removes tangles and knots like advertised.

I have tried everything with my long hair kitty. Brushes and combs that guaranteed to remove mats. None of them worked! I got this inexpensive comb and both my cats love when I comb them! It gently goes through the fur and gets rid of the loose hair. My long hair kitty doesn't run anymore when she sees the comb come out! Slow and gentle.

Its a great comb, works well on both long and short hair. Blunt ends so not going to hurt your puppers!

My cat is HUGE. He is approximately 30 pounds. I swear 5 of that is fur and dander. I brush him all the time because he gets big clumps and matts. The vet used one of these combs last time we went and it was like a freaking miracle. So I got this one. It is fantastic. A lot more efficiency then the brushes and we have several different brushes. But this fat cat is also super mood swingy. So one second he likes to be brushed and loved, the next second he's scratching with his triple pawed gargoyle sized paw. The only thing is, this comb pulls knots so its almost hard to do in one swift stroke, it takes a couple. Finicky cats dont like dilly dallying in forbidden areas, even though they're purring. It works but be careful.

Works great for cocker spaniel double coat to keep matting away

After my long haired cat got matted, despite regular brushing with a soft and slicker brush, I took her to a groomer. After a cleanup, the groomer suggested I get a comb similar to what he had which had rounded tips, a wide and narrow side. The comb he had I found and was over $40 - whoa! In seeking for something similar, I was lucky and found this comb. I love the grip on the top, and the comb itself has a nice wide and narrow side. Before I used it on my cat I tested it on my skin - the tips are rounded, comfortable, and I would guess feel much like a massage to a cat. I am able to get deep into her fur without her having discomfort. So far, it's getting up the loose fur and keeping her tangle free. I'm super happy.

Better than the slicker brushes for my persian cat because it doesn't just go over the top fur. Hoped to like the rake with the cutting edges, but still like the comb much better. haven't used other combs, but definitely love the 2 sizes of bristle closeness in 1 comb!
