can you use this all over insides of the pistol or just the barrel?

Same as others. Metal parts for sure. I have had limited contact with polymer portions as well without any sign of softening or otherwise affecting it. As others have said I always follow up with a clean dry patch for the barrel, and a rag for other parts.

Will this remove copper as well?

I assume you're talking about copper plated bullets yes it will remove the fouling of copper with a copper brush or brass

Can this be used on any plastic parts that in my Ruger 10/22 rifle?

I have not used it on plastic parts. I think you should contact the manufacturer about this. The solvent seems extremely powerful when I have used it in the bore of my Winchester Model 70 Featherweight. I wouldn't think it would be suitable for plastic, but I'd say you should ask both Ruger and Hoppe's.

Is it good for cleaning bike chain?

Sure it can. It's a solvent. Dry and lightly oil the chain after.
