14 Quart Cooler

We’ve used every brand including Yeti. My spouse travels a lot and just needed something smaller to keep some snacks, water, and meds in. I purchased this for his birthday gift. Love the fact that it’s easy to open and close, easy to carry and especially love the basket in the top. He recently got to test it on a trip and he was totally impressed at how well it kept things cool. It’s the perfect size for traveler’s. This is a great product we highly recommend.

Purchased on sale for $74 & it was money well spent. Kept items cold for 24 hours (I'm certain it would have kept them cold longer). Well build with top storage tray inside for items. Latches secure tightly & are easy to use. Handle is solid & doesn't wiggle or feel loose. Plenty of room inside & size is perfect for carrying to the beach or boat.

I’ve owned many of lunch boxes/coolers and this Pelican is the best so far. Its the perfect size for a days worth of food and with the Pelican small ice packs my contents stay nice and cold all day, at least for a full 12 hrs plus. The removable tray is handy for pills, small items etc. The rubber pouch can hold a set of utensils, a pen something small and flat. The nice part is the hidden compartment on the main lid. That makes a nice eating area and a phone holder to watch some vids on your phone while on break or even while on a hike of some sorts. So the reviews I’ve seen complaining it “doesn’t hold much..” don't pay attention to that, they must want 5 bags of groceries in a personal cooler. Highly recommended!!!

This is not my first Pelican cooler. We have a very large Pelican on the boat and a smaller version for camping. We bought this easy-to-carry model for picnics, etc. For the life of me, I cannot understand how this brand has not taken over the market. We camp on the beach in the hottest summer sun. A Pelican cooler will keep ice for 5 days!! It’s sturdy, well engineered and beautiful. Don’t hesitate to check out this brand!

This is a top brand. Know for travel and camera cases and even mobile phone cases. Love the color. Recently used for the beach. Has a top compartment where keys, phones, and a kindle can fit. Inside came with a tray which others can charge up to 20+ for. Of course at 14qt not a ton of storage but a few beers, and wine coolers, sandwiches and snacks worked out well at beach. Pelican even has their own ice packs that fit this model similar to Yeti. Handle has good grip and easy to carry. Loaded up, little heavy. There is no "lock in place " on handle so it moves as your moving with in hand if you sway. Built in can opener which came in handy at beach for beer bottles. It was sort of hidden but in middle. Nicest feature, the push button latches! Work great no struggle with the rubber latches on others. This feature, along with top (almost hidden) compartment were reason I bought this. Cons This is by design (14qt) the ice melt rating is almost 2 days not 5 like other brands. For us, didn't matter as it's for car trips, beach fun and it does great job. Used Pelican ice packs and open and close several times at beach, the beer was ice cold. After several hours ice packs still frozen and contents cold. I would buy again when on sale and also go to next model up as it's taller to fit wine bottles. Didn't see the need for 200+ for that as have larger 45 model from another brand that works great for larger needs.

Holds ice for a full work-day with no problem. My drinks at quitting time are ice cold for the ride home. I also purchased two of the ice packs, when combined with ice from the freezer it will put chips of ice in a bottled water. Pretty impressive. Just right for work or even an overnight outing. Have had this cooler a couple of months now, the only dislike that I have is the latches are a bit fidgety, its a pain to open it one-handed because of the way the latches operate, needs some friction or spring tension to hold them open once they have been “popped”. This is the only reason for 4 stars. Would I buy this cooler again? Absolutely! Do I regret not spending twice as much for one of the other more popular brands? Nope, ive had one before, this cooler is just as good.

Great cooler by a great company. Took this on a trip and worked awesome, no leaks, build quality is amazing. Heavyweight and not too expensive compared to Yeti, with the added benefit of not being seen with a Yeti. Great little cooler!

This is the best built ice chest ever. This thing slid for 70ft tumbling, slamming, etc and still kept my beers cold for 3 days after. It was fully loaded with cans, but never busted open. My beers are in good hands…. Are yours?
