The clip broke, but I was able to fix it with some glue. Then the lead lock broke after my dog got excited to go for a walk and I had to use it to stop her. The coil is weak; sometimes not even able to retract all the way. I could tell the retraction mechanism wasn't going to last though, as it had a fragile feel to it, and it didn't. I can't use it anymore, as it only retracts some of the time and that is really annoying. Maybe if you have a small or weak fog it might work great for you.
