I would say get this guy if you're willing to spend the extra couple of bucks for a good bladeless fan. Compared to Dysons model I think this would be most similar to the original Dyson Air Multiplier desk fan - it multiplies the air without chopping it, through blades, and it keeps the noise down. It has a little noise similar to a box fan (check the video for noise). Honestly, it looks cool, its futuristic, and its a great conversation piece that is much cheaper than Dysons options. The fan goes to a higher setting by itself and then just turns off. I keep it clean, free of dust, so it should run properly.
