I didn’t expect anything other than a low grade reel after owning a couple other bottom range models with a low end name-brand. However the quality and reliability of KastKing turned out to be much higher than what I expected. After owning this reel I have purchased many more KastKing gear because they are very affordable and have high quality components. The KastKing Centron spinning reel out performs better known name brand reels. They are not cheaply manufactured nor cheap to produce. They have been compared to other high end brands and they can easily hold their own. This Centron model is a great all around freshwater fishing reel. I own many of KastKing fishing devices and have saved a lot of money without having a low end product. From fishing line to fishing rods and fishing attire, KastKing has proven to be a great product for fishing. I highly suggest checking it out. Very low prices for the most popular and reliable fishing gear.

I was looking for a good reel that I could camping but not a big one so it would fit. This fit what I wanted. I never had a KastKing before so I was skeptical. It was small enough, smooth casting, handled nicely, looked good, and had all of the add ons that you would need. Well, it worked on the trip and the price was good. For camping and especially for beginners this is a good reel. I would recommend this.

This one comes with a bit of a story. After more than 20 years of use, my old Daiwa 500 reel finally started giving me trouble this past weekend while trout fishing — jamming and tangling up. It’s been a great reel with a lot of memories, so I’ll try to repair it, but if not, this will be its replacement. I picked up the 500 size to match my St. Croix rod, and based on my experience with KastKing so far, I feel pretty confident in the choice. At this point, I’ve used several of their rods and reels, and I’ve been consistently impressed. This reel continues that trend right out of the box — it feels lightweight, smooth, and well built. The operation is clean, and the reel has a solid feel without being heavy. It looks like a great fit for lighter setups like trout fishing. I haven’t had it out on the water yet, but based on everything I’ve experienced with KastKing so far, I’m expecting it to perform well. Read this review and go verify what I am about to write!! I bought this reel and at first the reel delivered but we had little technical issues, Kastking stepped up and replace my reel at no cost!! Take the time to go look at all the bad reviews KastKing went and reached out to all their unhappy customers to make sure they could make it up to them... I don't know about you, but as for me that's the type of company I want to do business with!! August 2016 I bought this in June and used it a few times this summer... at first it was doing well, but after a month of use it doesn't cast really good and the line guard is already jamming. the paint is pealing in between the part of the line guards creating junk and jamming the 2 parts. (Sept 8 2016) After posting this review a member of Kastking called me directly to see what was wrong and to talk to me about the reel. After a short conversation he saw that they might just be something wrong with the reel I got... so he offer to send me a new one. This is what makes the difference between a ok company and a great company, they stand behind their product. This is a 20$ reel but they sale it and back it like it's a 60$ reel!! I will send back my reel and come back to update on my experience with the reel. I did bring the star rating up to 4 because they reached out to me to make it right. (October 24 2016) I got my new reel within 2 days it looks great and works awesome. Caught lots of trouts and other fish with this reel! Awesome quality and customer service for the price you pay Kast King and their team outshine the big names of fishing equipment!! (September 7 2017) The reel still works like a brand new one, now I am the type of guy that fish every chance he as, I keep my pole in my car at all time. I put a lot of mileage on my gear and my summer spinning reel as been a trooper. I have put some nicks and dings on my spool and decided to call Kastking to see if they had a trick to smooth out those nicks, Paul said yes I do!! They are sending me a new spool I love this company and the service they give to their customer!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU BUY FROM THEM AWESOME QUALITY PRICE WITH OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

The only review you need to read. This is for freshwater review. NOT FOR SALTWATER!!! These are amazing reels for the price. For anyone who is starting out or is avid fishermen. I been using these 4 to 5 times a week on the biggest lake in PNW. I fish Lake Washington. With 30 different types of fish. And different sizes and weight. With great success. I currently own 3 of these Piscifun Flame reels. On 3 different setups, from pan fish to large mouth and cat fish. My setups are all less then $60 including the line I put on the reel. I I get the smooth cast everytime. From my 5" to 7" pole. Using all size lures and just to a split shot and bober set up for some panfish. You wont be disappointed in this reel. This isn't your cheap plastic walmart reel or reel and combo, you get at walmart. This reel does compete with the Penn or even other high end reels. But for a more affordable price tag. I have mine for a year now. And still cast smooth like day one. I don't keep up with the oiling and other maintenance, becuase I wanted to see how long it will last with neglect, also less $30 I can buy a new one if needed to be. So far over a year of use. And still going strong. I will recommend this to any fresh water fisherman or fisherman. It's a great reel for the beginner or the advance. Would I use this for a bass competition, probably. Lol. So here my setup for pan fish and basic bass fishing. If you are new to fishing or just wanting a nice cheap freshwater setup. Panfish - Bluegill,sunfish, pumpkin seeds, perch, white or black crappie, etc. I use a shakespeare micro series rod. This is my 5" rod. Ultra light. Great to feel even the smallest bites. Around $20 on amazon. Bigger fish - Trout, Bass, Walleye, etc. Berkley Cherry Wood HD This is a full wood rod. Coming in around 6'6 and also a 7" rod. Medium/heavy. Now before you say why would you want a Medium/heavy for trout or even walleye. This has a tip of a light rod (meaning you can fill small bites), but the back bone of a heavy rod. I pulled 13lbs fish in on 8lbs test thanks to this rod. This is like the name says. Made of cherry wood, so the tip is easily breakable. But wont break from weight of bigger fish. It's great rod. I been using them for 15+ years now. And own multiple sizes. Around $20 on amazon. I use berkely invisible line on all my reels. Just personal choice.
