EDGE Extended Performance 0W-20 Advanced Full Synthetic Motor Oil 5 Quart

We are happy with the performance of Castrol Edge oil (0w-20). It has given some improvement to the performance of our car's engine. Its oil quality seems to be good and we like the improved engine performance that we have observed. We consider it a reliable oil and well worth our money to buy it.

I used this oil instead of the Castrol Edge Professional 0W20 that Volvo recommends that from what i understand has a dye in the oil that they call their own proprietary blend to make it easier to find the source of an oil leak when using a black light. I will be switching oil and will be using 5W30 as they do in Europe with same turbocharged engine

Great oil

I have been using Castrol EDGE oil in most of our cars for a VERY long time. I started with the regular EDGE synthetic oil, but the price difference to get the EDGE EP (Extended Performance, this gold bottle) is not much so now I just use this. Our cars are very quiet at idle, get great gas mileage, and they're just smooth and quiet. I've been doing my own oil changes for about 20 years now and naturally I've tried many brands over the years. I keep coming back to Castrol's EDGE line. As others have touched on, please don't go 20-25K miles between oil changes. I still do my oil changes at least once a year or 5K miles, whichever comes first. Changing your oil regularly is the most important, followed by a good oil like this. Don't forget a good filter. I use Toyota OEM filters mostly, or a good name brand for our other older cars. A good filter and this oil just gives you added protection and leeway in case you are busy and can't get around to your oil change for a bit, or for harsh conditions like short trips, all city driving, towing, etc. Side note: I just changed the oil on a family member's Honda Fit. It was very dark after 7 months of short trips but the Castrol EDGE EP oil did a great job because there was no loss of performance or gas mileage in that timeframe. Very happy!

Worked great on my Jaguar F-Type, bottle had no leaks or dents. First time doing my oil change and car sounds better after the oil change. Beats going to dealership as I know the job was done right and its a fraction of the price. Will update if any issues occur.

This is old inventory. Castrol has changed their labeling as well as up the miles from 20,000 miles to 25,000. I would never go near that long nor recommend it…..but I do wonder if Castrol has improved their additive package. The bottom line is the picture shows the new product and I was sent the old package. Still very good oil but deceptive.
