Review: The bottle cap was not screwed on properly, hence there was a little spillage. The packaging to prevent glass breakage was very good though. Gochugaru has a tendency to get fungus very easily, hence as mentioned on the bottle, it HAS to be stored in an airtight container if you want it to last at least a few months. I also prefer storing it in the freezer, to maintain freshness (as recommended by several Korean cooks). The taste is not as spicy for the typical Indian palate. It has the smoky hot flavour as usual, but don’t expect to be knocked out of your senses with the spice. The color is also darker and not bright red. So the kimchi I made with this came out all wrong.
