Innate Vitality Magnesium Glycinate 400mg I take magnesium in a strength of 500 mg of elemental magnesium daily for my heart, under the direction of a cardiologist. My primary concerns when obtaining supplements are the purity of ingredients, and the quality of manufacturing. Nine Innate Vitality magnesium glycinate 400 mg capsules supply my needed daily dose of elemental magnesium. That is almost a month supply in one 240 capsule bottle. The manufacturer uses third party testing for purity, and adheres to the guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) established by a government/industry agency established to set such practices. Following these guidelines, and testing, will help assure the production of safe supplements. I found no broken or open capsules in the bottle, but there was quite a bit of extraneous powder present. There is almost always some extraneous powder in magnesium capsules, but what I found was more than expected. The powder is likely magnesium stearate, used for lubrication, but I would prefer it be cleaned better. The presence of the powder can indicate that good, but not great, care was used in manufacture. Innate Vitality magnesium glycinate is high enough in purity testing and manufacture that I will take it with the assurance I am receiving a reasonable quality product. Rated a 4 instead of a 5 because of the extraneous powder.

This 400 mg dosage is perfect for the desired effect of relaxation, and sleep that I require. 500 mg seemed too strong for my 184 lb body weight. Magnesium Glycinate is much better, noticeably more affective in how the body absorbs, and uses Magnesium.

The capsules ARE really easy to swallow. I kept choking on the big tablet of the previous product I had ordered and had to resort to trying to chew the big hard tablets up with water in my mouth. A great product.

This is the best Magnesium to take before bed to relax your muscles and help you sleep. It absorbs a lot better than other Magnesium. Make sure to take Zinc and Vitamin K2 with it to help absorption.
