## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can anyone confirm the actual current (amp) usage @ 12v?   Says 300W = 25amps, but unlikely given it's size. Can anyone please confirm?**
A: It is NOT drawing that much current, I own this product on my SxS and have a 10 amp inline fuse for it. I think they are saying it is equivalent to 300w. So it's under 10 amps.

**Q: Why is there no clear information about length of wiring???**
A: I'd have to say the wires are approximately 12 in in length. I don't have the light here with me. It's on my boat but that's my recollection.

**Q: What amp relay would i need running it 12volt from a car battery?**
A: You need a relay. A simple switch with a -0a fuse will do the job just fine and require far less work.  The bar draws under 5 amps so a 7.5-10a fuse is what you’d want.

**Q: How is this wired in? Is a separate wiring harness required?**
A: Black wire goes from negative on battery or metal frame to the light bar.

Red wire goes from positive on battery to a rocker switch then to the light bar, preferably with an in-line 10amp fuse directly after the battery before the rocket switch.

If this sounds complicated then maybe watch YouTube or do not attempt to do it as incorrect wiring can cause an overloaded vehicle battery which can explode battery acid everywhere.

Seems to be good quality. May not be water tight, Check and tighten the end seals. Wiring is not weatherproof. Install in a dry location and seal all connections with adhesive lined shrink tubing. Do not use tape or silicone. Kit needs weatherpak two pin male and female connectors soldered. Crimping is not recommended. Spade connectors and Scotch loks will corrode and fail. Not for outdoor use. Kit must be installed with a power relay. Use a switch to turn on/off Manually via a relay. One light per relay pole contact. Relay should have at least 20A contacts. Lamps do get very warm after running for 15 minutes. I used mine as backup lamps and wired a 4PDT 12V relay into each rear backup tail light. Then ran the power through the relay directly from the battery via a 6A circuit breaker. (do not use inline fuses), for both positive and negative wires. Do not use chassis as ground. It will cause corrosion. I also installed an override DPST rocker switch in the dashboard so I can turn the lights on manually. Weight 34.0 OZ. I recommend this product if you have the skills tools and patience to install it correctly. I have tested the units performance: Light draws Just under 3.90Amps or about 40 Watts at 13.6VDC. The 40 Watts is not light output but current draw., 10.30 Volts Minimum for maximum brightness of 270 Lux or approximately 100 Watts of light equivalent. 70.0 is Minimum turn on voltage. Each light will require a 8 amp circuit breaker in circuit. You will need at least 16AWG Stranded copper wire up to 10 ft. Mounting the light takes tools and skill. I recommend this product.
