I purchased this flatware for my 4 children, because we don't have a dishwasher in this home and they don't ever wash their dishes. I wrote their names on the handles of the pieces, a 5-piece set for each child, and since then, every dish they used has been washed right away.

Although it's been almost two years since I've previously experienced the top quality of this brand, that being via a superb kitchen culinary collection of a noteworthy pots and pans set - - which incidentally is still serving our family so well, especially with every one of them still exhibiting their fully intact, innovative 'granite-like' non-stick surfaces after several years of constant usage - - and so it's a true delight to once again be in a position to partake in another of this seller's products. As an experienced member of Amazon's Vine Voice reviewer program team, I've really come to appreciate 're-visiting' such a prior vendor I've dealt with for whom I have so much respect, and one I'm not surprised to see is still thriving while selling his products on Amazon. So, needless to say, I 'jumped' at the opportunity to acquire this rather economically priced, minimal 4 place, 20 pieces in all flatware set when offered to me for testing and review purposes. My wife and I had been looking for some time to secure one of these 'modest' tableware sets to gift to a young blossoming family that are dear to us. While always taking into account the low price-point associated with this product, it definitely has served our purpose well to bestow it upon such a deserving 'family in progress'. They've reported back to us that these utensils, while made of mostly plastic and average grade stainless steel, have proven to be 'Godsends' to them and serve their current purposes quite well (as a new family in need of such support from loving friends). From my observational standpoint, these items, from an Amazon seller that I've had such great success with in the past, have made for the perfect gift in this situation. Although I find the 'embossed handles', with their rather 'cheapish-looking' superfluous, somewhat 'gaudy' presence, to be a cosmetically unnecessary adornment, their over all convenience and utility capabilities make for an excellent 'starter set' of dining table cutlery utensils. As the extensive sets of photos on this vendor's Amazon marketing webpage readily suggest, these cutlery items are quite presentable-looking - - and besides, as a young family grows out into expanding their culinary needs, this relatively small collection can be used in an RV, or other camping-like endeavors in the future.

These are very pretty. They are more lightweight than what I expected. Not sure how they will hold up in the dishwasher as of yet, but overall they look very nice. The smallest fork is definitely a salad fork, so don't expect a regular size fork. Pretty good deal for the price if you're looking for something to just get by with.

While they are beautiful and function well for cutting meat and enjoying salads, both my spouse and I found them to be a little less comfortable to hold due to their weight and length – something we anticipate adjusting to. As no care instructions were included, I plan to hand wash them to help extend their lifespan, rather than using the dishwasher.
