I was honestly a little nervous about trying something like this at home, but the YO Home Sperm Test made the whole process simple and stress-free. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the kit included everything I needed. The app was straightforward, connected to my phone without any issues, and gave me results in just a few minutes. What I really appreciate is how discreet and private it feels compared to going to a clinic. As someone who has a condition that impacts my fertility this product was a must have. Before my husband and I decided to try to have kids I wanted to make sure that he could have kids no problem so that when we started and if he couldn’t I wasn’t thinking it was just me. This product was a lifesaver not only did we not have to do it in a doctors office and feel weird we did it from home on our own. The whole process was so simple and the results they give you at the end are priceless. They give you some facts as your waiting for your results which was pretty fun.

Connectivity issues right from the get-go. The app will walk you through how to connect to the device via your wi-fi settings and give you a "Connection Test Passed" prompt only to then say connectivity issues during the actual test itself. There is no way to skip any of the timers, so on both of my tests I ended up with skewed results because of having to re-run the test multiple times over. Retrying the test four times the first time I used it did the trick (6 minutes each attempt), and then on the second test I did several months later retrying the test, unplugging, and plugging the device back in finally gave me results for that one. Only problem with that is because you're having to fight the connectivity issues with the device, the sample is pretty much sitting idle and the results end up skewed because some of the sperm begin to die off. I took the results of both readings to my PCP and got a referral to a fertility clinic because I was concerned by the test results, one day after I had tested at home. Long story short, in-clinic test revealed that the YO Home Sperm Test results were completely inaccurate and my numbers were a lot better than those given by the YO test. All this, and believe it or not the cost to visit the clinic was less than the cost of this device. Long story short, before you drop $80 on this glorified paperweight, just go with the basic test strips or go see your Primary Care Physician or visit a fertility clinic. The only positive thing I can really say about this device is the live video feed is pretty cool. The instructions in the app are pretty straight-forward as well, and overall it's easy to use. There's a lot of potential with it, but the software/connectivity issues just don't make it reliable. I believe I'm past my return date with my unit since I got it back in November, and I don't believe Amazon accepts returns for "medical equipment" anyways, so I just tossed mine in the trash.

Honestly just wanted to know. Super easy to use my partner is a heavy devil lettuce connoisseur and it’s a relief it hasn’t affected his swimmers over the years. My only qualm is the 10min wait period after the sample is in the cup you want the freshest sample and 10mins just seems to long to wait you can by pass this by just preparing the app before!

I didn’t see it anywhere in the instructions but put your phone in airplane mode to avoid getting prompted to use cellular data or keep connected to WiFi. Not sure if it affects the testing or not. I did keep getting an error around the 3 minute mark, which I initially thought was due to not being in airplane mode, but it might have been because the slide wasn’t inserted all the way. There is quite a bit of resistance the first time putting the slide in so I didn’t want to force it. I took the slide out and reinserted it. The second time it went in more smoothly and I was able to get results. Another annoying thing is that if you leave the app (like clicking the button to report a problem), and then go back to the app, you have to wait the full 10 minutes again. This is not ideal for a time sensitive test.

This product appears rather accurate. My wife and I want to make sure we're doing everything as best possible to conceive, since she has a couple medical issues that could complicate our chances. We don't want an added issue, if I had any fertility issues. This at home product offered zero problems in preparing and instructing through the sample test process. Shows me at 79% motility, which is definitely the higher end. Even the progressive motility shows higher. Overall, everything good and normal. It's cool to be able have a video and see what is in the small sample, too. This product is worth the money, considering how much more a fertility doctor would cost. The one I purchased comes with 3 sample test kits, and was $99 pre-tax.

The setup with WiFi was being funky, but that was a me issue. This product does exactly what it says. We used to for my husband to avoid going to the fertility clinic again to have a semen analysis done. The video and the report is easy to read and it was registered quickly. My husband was thankful for it to save an hour trip to do this in our own home.

Works fine and give you a piece of mind if you have any doubts. I liked the fact that I could access to the videos at anytime.

Aufgrund unseres bisher leider unerfüllten Kinderwunsches wollten wir, um keine Zeit zu verlieren, die Spermienqualität meines Mannes testen. Die Lieferung ging schneller als erwartet. Gerät funktioniert einwandfrei. Es ist kompatibel mit allen Androidgeräten und PC's durch den USB-/ aufsteckbaren microUSB-Anschluss. Die Anleitung ist mit guten Englischkenntnissen problemlos verständlich, das Programm leitet einen aber auch mit einer bebilderten Anleitung genau durch den Test. Die Vorgehensweise ist deutlich einfacher als bei anderen Tests. Einfach Pulver zur Verflüssigung in die Probe geben und nach 10 min. Wartezeit die Flüssigkeit mit der Pipette in den Objektträger geben. Dieser wird dann in das Gerät geschoben und durch die App ausgewertet. Im Ergebnis gibt das Programm eine grobe Einschätzung der Spermienanzahl (ob größer oder kleiner als 6Mio/ml) und - Beweglichkeit (Scorewert). Es bringt erstaunlich klare Bilder und ist auf jeden Fall sehr interessant für eine erste Einschätzung der Spermaqualität von zu Hause aus. Wir hatten vorher einen anderen Test gemacht, bei dem nur die Menge gemessen wird. Anhand der Färbung des Tests musste dort die Spermienanzahl abgeschätzt werden. Laut diesem wären bei meinem Mann gar keine Spermien vorhanden gewesen, was uns schon wirklich große Sorgen bereitete. Bei diesem Test hier konnten wir sie mit eigenen Augen auf Video sehen, kein Rätselraten. Es sind zwei Testkits dabei, diese kann man bei Bedarf auch nachbestellen. Wir sind sehr erleichtert über das Ergebnis, aber auch wenn dieses nicht so gut ausgefallen wäre, hat man schon eine grobe Einschätzung, mit der man sich dann beim Urologen vorstellen kann, um genauere Untersuchungen durchführen zu lassen. Wir hätten niemals so eine super Qualität erwartet und können das Gerät für diesen Preis voll empfehlen.

Hallo es ist sehr schön und gut dass man dieses Gerät auch erwerben kann und zu wissen wie es aussieht mit der eigenen befruchtbar Kite man kann es weiterempfehlen ich würde mir wünschen wenn man auf Deutsch das auch hätte deutscher Schrift es ist nur auf englisch und das wer nicht kann Englisch hat Probleme aber sonst ich kann es weiterempfehlen der Preis ist passend
