The dimness may have been to my instrument cluster itself, as it was a Ford and they have a greenish film on the instrument cluster itself. I believe most car manufacturers do this as it is cheaper to use normal white bulbs and tint the glass/plastic instead, so if you REALLY want these to function as they should, you'll most likely have to replace that part of your instrument cluster with an aftermarket clear one. The twist knobs did not fit my truck ('08 F150) even though desertcart said they would. Not a reflection on the product, just letting potential customers know.
