Also the mat began to pull away from the sluice body after a short time of use. -Main ramp riffels have gaps along the edge where they meet the sides of the sluice allowing water currents to move through, encouraging gold blow-out and loss. -Wingnuts that hold the sluice open are not enough to keep it open, and the sluice will often began to collapse from the water weight moving through it. Adding washers will help a lot. Good: -The green felt fabric under the miners moss does seem to help catch fine gold. They should check that.
