I don't know how easy it is to see in my before and after photos, but I ordered these to replace the joysticks after my puppy chewed the grips off the original ones. The damage only affected the cosmetics and comfort, but the controller was still fully functional. After the replacement, I can't feel any difference between this controller and my other one that has not been chewed up. I am familiar with replacing phone screens, so I would rate the level of difficulty on this repair fairly low. The video instructions were easy to follow. The most difficult part for me was getting some of the clips to unsnap to separate the top of the housing from the bottom to open the controller.

Worked great. Replaced some narly thumbsticks.

My dogs got ahold of both my controllers and I was able to fix them pretty easily. I looked up the extremerate video on YouTube for instructions and it was very straightforward! And I learned a new skill! The only negative is the little blue plastic tool to help pry the parts off got messed up so it was hard to use on the 2nd controller but otherwise it wasn't bad.

Only problem I had was one of the sticks wouldn't move after putting it back together. Clicking it in with a little bit of force fixed it.

would be great if it included a tool for removing the ribbons inside the controller also. The replacement thumbsticks are not very comfortable and do not have a slip cover its just a plastic piece but it gets the job done

They look and feel great. A little complicated to install, but the tutorials on their site are excellent. Performs as good or better than factory.
