This is a great tool for a DIY. I had to replace both wiper arms on my 2002 chevy truck. They are the taper fit with knurled surface on a tapered shaft. You absolutely need this tool set to break the fit loose or you will end up busting something else by just prying it loose. The secret to removing the arms if they never had been off is to loosen the nut and spray with your favorite penetrating oil. Let it sit for at least 24 hours spraying in between. Next ensure that you get the tool in place squarely so the bottom shoe is focused correctly on the bottom of the arm. Next tighten the wheel hand tight and let sit for a moment and tighten a bit more. If it doesn't pop loose at this point take a small hammer and tap the screw handle. This shock will pop the arm off. It is easy to use. Two tools included for the price of one.

I recently had my rear window wiper arm broken at a car wash. I purchased the replacement arm and wiper blade but the replacement arm has a splined nut in it to allow the arm to be clocked properly and not rotate on the mounting shaft. Wiper arm removal tool really works well especially for rear window wiper i did have to apply heat from a propane torch because it was on for 12 years it would not have come off with out the tool.

The tool isn't as well made as i thought it would be. The turning arm on the puller bent when try to remove the windshield wiper arm. the little rod you have for tightening is to thin to add a fair amount of pressure to remove the wiper arm, othe than that it did the job.

Works great for my son‘s 2007 Ford edge, rear wiper arm assembly. We recently did the same repair on his girlfriend‘s Ford escape, and the nut came off without the polar. The only complaint I had on my son‘s car was that the bottom of the pillar actually got stuck on the end of the bolt. It took a couple minutes to get it to release. If I have to do this repair again, I will probably put something between the two to prevent that from happening. I’m sure this tool has prevented a lot of broken rear windows! A great set for the money – I am certain I will find other uses for this product as time goes on.
