Trim Plate for Smart Thermostat Essential Only - Programmable WiFi Thermostat Accessory

I recently purchased the ecobee wall plate to go with my new thermostat, and I’m really glad I did. It made the installation process incredibly simple and saved me the hassle of patching or painting the wall. The plate is well-designed, fits perfectly, and effectively covers up the outline and screw holes left by the old thermostat.

Fits well, works as should

While I was less than impressed with the ecobee thermostat for other reasons (you can go see that review), this one is positive. Things lined up well, it covered the old holes, and visually it's appealing to the eye. I can't say I have any complaints with the unit or the fit and finish.

Fits well, looks fine. Not much too it. A bit too expensive for a simple piece of plastic but it is what it is. Hole from cover plate locks with hole from the base plate. Screw it to the wall with the baseplate, insert your wires, snap on your thermostat and you’re done. When snapping on your thermostat, make sure both sides are even and you push straight. Don’t try to snap in one side and then the other.

It is easy to install if needed, however, I missed the timeframe to return due to getting an electrician to come and put it in. if it’s good if needed and the quality is plastic. So the value was decent however, like I said, I didn’t get my money back because I don’t need it.

This plate is essential for mounting the Ecobee Stat when there is wall damage from previous thermostat mountings. It covers other holes and gives a professional looking installation. Highly recommend if you are installing an Ecobee thermostat.

Was required for my new ecobee thermostat. Had a larger holes in the gyproc from the gen 2 Nest (Google) thermostat it was replacing. Google is not supporting Gen 1 and 2 after Oct 2025 so won't need using anything Google ever again! This plate went on easily and looks great! Thermostat works far better than the best as well, much better temp control in the house especially with the air conditioner, we were constantly manually changing the best as the smart program was crap and it was either to got out too cold but never just right, ever, so glad they forced me to find this one!

I got this to replace my previous.It's or misstad, because the ecobee didn't cover the whole marks from it, and I didn't want to have to repaint the whole hallway. As you can see, it covered up the markings from the honeywell.Very nicely and screw marks and saved me from painting . I hope this was helpful
