The first one I ever ordered was a different brand and was flimsy and you couldn't even sit on it. However, the deck box from this brand is superior in every way!From clear instructions, to thoughtful product packaging, this product was worth putting together.This deck box has hydraulics to hold the lid up or self lift the lid (with enough pressure). For us it doubles down as a outdoor porch seat, sturdy enough not to break when assembled correctly.Would definitely recommend for those looking for outdoor porch storage, we use it for our garden tools. There's enough space to fit a good bit of stuff.

Overall, it is a good item, though mine arrived damaged. The plastic hinge loops had snapped off during transit. Fortunately, I was still able to assemble it despite the missing pieces, and I'm hoping it holds up well over time. That said, better packaging is definitely needed to protect these parts

Wanted to give 5 stars but the bottom piece did not snap on at all. I was able to just set it on top since it goes in my mud room anyway. Assembly was easy. Its a little flimsy but works for what I bought it for.
