Review: Great pictures, good info. - I used this book as an aid to replacing a head vs an entire overhaul, so can't talk about all of content. However, the parts I needed were clearly illustrated and very useful. Very high quality color photos and slick paper. Nothing like a Chilton's or Haynes in that respect. There was a section on strokers that I was hoping for a little more detail on... but understandable it was only high level I guess, the book's focus in the breaking down, refurbishing, and reassembly of the 4.0. Not a hot rodding book.

I used this book as an aid to replacing a head vs an entire overhaul, so can't talk about all of content. However, the parts I needed were clearly illustrated and very useful. Very high quality color photos and slick paper. Nothing like a Chilton's or Haynes in that respect. This book is awesome if you plan to rebuild your 4.0. It is extremely detailed and has everything from piston ring gap specs to ring orientation, all the way down to how to use plastigauge. It has just about every single torque spec on the engine, and even detailed instructions on how to install the engine into your vehicle. Not to mention probably over 80 sources that the book is derived from, so it seems to be a trustworthy source. If you're building a 4.0, this will help drastically
