As soon as I plugged it in, I saw the HP smart adapter pop-up stating that the adapter capacity was low for the laptop and that it would run at reduced performance. It seems that the adapter is not fully compatible with the Omen laptop model that I have since it should be at the same capacity as the original one. It will take longer than the HP adapter to recharge, but HP wants $100 for theirs.
