Minka-Aire F844-DK Light Wave 52" Ceiling Fan, Distressed Koa with Additional Remote Control

I like a more modern look mixed with wood. This fan fits that bill. I love that the light is enclosed so there are not bulbs hanging down and collecting dust on the bulb covers. The Koa wood is really pretty and the blades have nice curvature. Be warned that if your ceiling in angled like ours, the included 6” downrod will not be long enough for the blade to clear the sloped portion of the ceiling. We had to be an additional 12” downrod, which was not cheap and not easy to find. We had to have the electrician come back out to uninstall and reinstall the fan with the longer downrod. The light is dimmable by holding the on or off button. The fan puts out a lot of air and is very quiet. We ended up buying 4 of these to replace the tanks we had prior. Highly recommend this fan!

Awesome Fan great color, very functional and unique. Doesn’t seem like it would output much air but it’s great and super quiet was very easy to install. We did it ourselves.

We had a little trouble with installation - not for the casual DIY person. But, once installed, it is SILENT, and truly a gorgeous addition to the room. Even with all the lovely artwork on our walls, people seem to comment on this fan first. The wind it produces is perfect at each setting. The remote doesn't blind you with light or make a loud sound when using it late at night, which is a blessing. The reverse button is way up top of the unit, which requires a ladder, but we haven’t found that to be an issue as we only change the setting two times per year, and it’s a good excuse to climb up there and wipe off the dust on the blades. Overall, highly recommended excellent product.

We ordered this fan for our bedroom. We had some work done by an electrician, so he installed it. He said it was easy to do. The fan has been running continuously since it was installed. It is very quiet, even on high. We got the light package. The light is very bright on high and it is dimmable. It came with 2 remotes. Each remote comes with a holder that you can attach to the wall. I like this option very much. One holder was placed on the wall as you enter the room. You can press the button to turn on the light then remove the remote from holder if you want to use it when you are in another part of the room. The holder saves me from searching for the remote. I highly recommend this fan.

We love this fan so much we bought 2 more for bedrooms. Excellent lighting. Moves a lot of air. Love the design which works perfectly with my transitional style home

I ordered 2 of these fans, as they look more like works of art than fans. Because I have 12' ceilings, I ordered 36" downrods, which should have been 30". Because of this, there is a little wobble at high speeds. The installation of the fans was simple. On one of them, the motor was mounted slightly off center, and the fan 'clicked'. The vendor promptly sent out a replacement motor, and when it did not fit properly - send an entirely new fan to replace. The new fan was installed today, and it is perfect! I heartily commend Jerry at Lighting and Locks, as he not only stood behind the product, but proactively took steps to insure my satisfaction!

I loved the wood blades and shape, but the light is disappointing. It’s very plastic looking and takes away the cool look of the fan.

The instructions didn’t make sense for some pieces involving the drop bar but, still figured it out. Once we finally got all the wires tucked away, it is secure and is not noisy, just enough noise to not be dead silent at night and the air flow is great. I’m super excited about it. I’m glad it also works great along with looking great
