Great Product!
Easy to install. This product was a replacement for our radon mitigator that broke down after ten years. So far this one works great and is not as loud as the one we had professionally installed. Thank you!

Easy to install
Easy to install and works as required. This is a monster of a fan. It brought my radon to 1 PC/L or less. My fan is mounted in my basement so you can hear a hum but that is expected. I expect to have this for many years.

Good, long lasting fan
We use this fan as part of a system to remove humidity from the ground below our crawl space. We have three of the same fans since there are three large, separate areas of crawl space that require venting. This fan lasted for over eight years of continuous running in a hot attic, and the other two fans are still going strong. The unit seems a little pricey, but I cannot complain about the quality of it. By the way, make sure that when you are installing the fan, that you use rubber flexible PVC couplings for both the inflow and outflow so that replacement is a breeze when the fan ultimately fails. You may need to glue a piece of PVC pipe or an adapter to the fan in order receive the flexible coupling (I used polyurethane adhesive supplied in a caulk tube). If you have an open stack vent you may also want to use wye's in the installation above and below the fan (see diagram) in order to prevent rain water from entering the motor. In our instance,we diverted the black tubing to drain to the exterior for drainage of the rainwater since our purpose was to remove humidity from the crawl space. The other option is to attach an exterior hood to the vent stack, but that requires more time on the roof (ours has a very steep pitch) and if you are using the fan for radon mitigation, a vent hood will redirect the gas downward toward your house. Finally, if your purpose is for radon mitigation, make sure your exterior vents are higher than the nearest roof ridge in order to prevent eddy currents of wind disturbance from redirecting the gas downward.

WORKS GREAT - FAIRLY QUITE - NEEDS EXTRA PARTS TO ADAPT TO PIPES.
Just replaced a $30 year old Radio Fan that sounded like a JET taking off with this one. This unit only comes with bare wires ready to be wired but my old unit was converted to an AC plug. Luckily I was able to remove the old adapter and use it on this unit. Basically its just 3 wires positive, negative (essentially) and ground. Sadly RadonAway saved some cost by not including the grommet that goes in the hole where the cables come out, I used the one from my last unit which also worked perfectly. It just makes it looks nicer and cleaner rather than random wires and wire twists hanging out of the hole. This unit also doesn't come with pipe converters so make sure you get good thick rubber ones to change the size from 6 inches to 4 (in my case). Again my old unit was exactly the same so all the old parts were used with the new one. I also Silicon-ed the crap out of this thing as to prevent leaks etc.

Good product
Bought this as a replacement for an older product that died. Easy to install, works as advertised, left on 24/7 and still going strong.

quality fan - quiet and efficient
This fan is great... very quiet (if installed properly) and very efficient. If you are building your own mitigation system, don't forget to purchase the 6" to 4" couplers... 6" X 4" Flexible PVC Coupling for 6" Fan Mounting - White, 2-Pack Other items you may consider would be a manometer, regular couplers (if connecting above sump pit cover) and a vent cap. I bought the following: RadonAwayยฎ Easy Read U-Tube Manometer Fernco Inc. P1056-44 4-Inch Stock Coupling RadonAway Fan Pipe Cap with Screen for 4" PVC Safety Siren Pro Series3 Radon Gas Detector - HS71512 by Family Safety Products, Inc. My basement had an average radon level of just over 4.0 pCi / liter so I wanted to install a mitigation system. I designed and installed one myself using 4" PVC pipe venting from the sump pump pit cover in the basement, through the wall outside where it connects with the RadonAway fan and remaining PVC pipe up the side of the house venting above the roof line. Radon levels dropped from around 4 to 0.3 on my electronic detector. So I have concluded that my radon mitigation system is a success! Everything continues to run smooth and quiet. I'll post updates if anything changes.

Replacement for my old RP265
Why pay someone to do this when itโs so simple to do yourself. I was quoted $350 to replace my old RadonAway RP265 which was installed 14yrs ago. The motor had seized on the old one. The part numbers on my old unit were slightly different than the current models but I simply called RadonAway, sent them pictures of my fan tags, and this is what they recommended. The install took me maybe 15 minutes. Great product and it seems to be pulling slightly more vacuum than before too!

Great replacement radon fan
My fan on my 7 year old radon system was sounding very loud. I thought I should replace it before it quit altogether. Ordered this (went up on CFM) based on size, it arrived a couple days earlier than expected. It was very easy to install, took less than 1/2 a hour. It is well made and sturdy, like the one that was replaced. I am happy with it and would recommend this seller to others.
