Is this product good for waterproof boots from winter

Can you use on wool rugs and how often do you have to retreat areas ?

Yes, SoftClad will work well on a wool rug. Depending on traffic, you should retreat every few months. A good test is to take 1-2 water droplets and see if wool is back absorbing liquid. If so, it is time to retreat. - Stir Technologies
