Chicago springs, summers and autumns = mud, construction debris, and, oh yeah, mud. This tray is large enough for 4 pairs of adult sized shoes. Because we have hard wood floors, I prefer everyone take off their shoes before they come in the apartment (I offer slippers for my "foot-shy" guests) and this tray is large enough to accommodate. I appreciate the size as well as the price. The construction is good, the design is functional in that it allows the water to drain and collects the solid elements away from the shoes. I recommend this anyone who needs a bit more than just a woven doormat outside their front or back doors. By the way, yes, I do recommend you buy two.
