Homode Cedar Blocks for Clothes Storage, Cedar Wood Chips and Balls for Closets and Drawers, Fresh Scented Sachets, 40 Pack

It's been a few months since I've purchased this. I will say that it has been quite effective. I have a 3'x3' pantry and I used all the cedar balls in there and about 1 or 2 of the hanging sticks and it took a few weeks for the scent to build up but I have not seen a moth at all. My flour and sugar are safe. There would be some hanging around within the first few weeks and some larvae that were there, but after removing them, they have not come back to this area. For those that say it's weak and doesn't work, you have to understand you can't hang one in a room and expect it to repel all moths. The scent of the wood has to build up to levels detectable by them that causes them to flee, it's simple science. A draft will ruin the effectiveness of them. It needs static mostly unchanging air like a closed pantry or not often used closet. This is perfect because you can't smell it and the scent doesn't permeate your food. If you need something stronger and potent get mothballs. this is best for pantries.

This cedar appears to be top quality. I believe it will work to deter moth activity in my closets.

These are pretty and you get a lot of items, but don't really have much of a cedar smell. I guess that's why they give you the sandpaper. Okay, I'll try that. I am hoping that the weevils and silk eaters can detect it even though I can't.

The cedar aroma is strong and pleasant, and the assortment is very good. I also appreciate the sandpaper which I can use to refresh these cedar products. I would buy these again and do recommend. Thank you and God bless!

A very nice assortment of cedar blocks. The smell is not overwhelming but hopefully will deter moths. I love the rings to put on top of the hangers best… but this is a nice assortment for drawers and closets to decide which you will use the most. We shouldn’t have moths where I live but somehow my cashmere has moth holes. I hoping this helps.

I was excited to try these cedar blocks and sachets to freshen up my drawers and closets while keeping moths away. When I first opened the package, the cedar scent was really pleasant—clean, woodsy, not overpowering. But after a couple of weeks, I noticed the smell had faded quite a bit, especially in the drawers. The variety of shapes (blocks, balls, chips) is nice, and they look good in storage spaces. I like that they’re all-natural and chemical-free, but I was hoping the scent would last longer without having to “refresh” them so soon. Some tips if you go with this set: Lightly sand the cedar blocks every few weeks to bring the scent back. A quick rub with fine sandpaper really helps. Store the extras in a sealed bag to preserve the scent until you're ready to use them. Use more than one in larger spaces like closets—it takes a few to notice the scent. Don’t expect a strong aroma like commercial air fresheners—this is much more subtle. Overall, they’re okay, especially if you're into natural products. Just know you’ll need to put in a bit of upkeep to keep them working well.

These were fantastic. A strong cedar smell which was great as lot u can hardly smell the cedar. Also the 2 lavender bags were beautiful. I will buy again.

Doesn't keep insects / cloth moths away. They still keep finding a way to enter the wardrobe . Maybe it just doesn't work for me.
