These things have been a lifesaver. I am a self-taught sewer who learned from my grandmother and cut my teeth as a costumer in low budget theatre. I've had to make a few clothing items here and there, but now that I have more time, I'm trying to go back and learn the basics. It's been tough to break bad habits, but these have been amazing at helping me maintain a consistent seam allowance and sew straight. Of course I used the little lines on the machine, but these have been a big help. The magnet is super strong. I have to really work to get it off the machine or move it, so I'm not concerned about sliding. They are also nice and thick, so I don't have to worry about my fabric accidently sliding over it and ruining my stitching. It works very well, and I recommend it to anyone trying to learn the basics or just have a little help. It's a great tool.

Works as described but I thought it would be made out of a higher grade of plastic.

I bought these because I am terrible at keeping all of my fabric straighten in place to create the perfect seam. These have very strong magnets and will stay wherever you put them. They are small enough to fit perfectly on your machine, but don’t get in the way of sewing. My machine doesn’t come with a quarter inch seam foot so this helps me get that. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a guide or anyone who just wants to make sure they are getting the right seam because my machine doesn’t tell me where the quarter inch is.

Great concept but check your sewing machine to ensure there’s enough metal to ensure you can have them line up where you want them.

I can't sew a long straight line for my life... These are a game changer. I have been able to speed up my sewing because i can rely on these to help keep my seams straight. The magnets are the perfect strength, they don't move while you're sewing - unless you are sewing heavier sandwiched pieces. But, they are perfect for me. & Great price point.
