I suddenly had this big invasion of fruit flies or gnats or whatever tiny bugs. I got this bad boy and it started killing Immediately . I say it is performing as advertised. Not magical. Just slow and relentless. I recommend the High fan setting.

These little things work GREAT, and their super quiet. For the price we paid its pretty much gotten rid of all the gnats that tend to get into our house around summer time. We actually have been meaning to buy a few for around the house like outdoors as well. Would recommend these to anyone who has those annoying summer bugs in their house like gnats flies or other small fliers the UV light seems to work pretty good as night too.

Updated review! While it does not attract/trap mosquitoes as advertised, it has been helpful in reducing other flying insects in the house. Very quiet operation with a low-key, non-annoying purple light. Recommended!

got this to try and help a fruit fly problem. works alright so long as the unit is running, but the vacuum isn't quite strong enough to suck them down onto the glue trap. so it really just contains them until you turn it off or bump it, than them immediately escape from both the top and the ventilation holes on the sides. learned all of this the hard way after i opened it to inspect how well it worked after leaving it running all day. it's currently sealed in a 2 gallon ziplock bag until i can get a finer mesh to wrap around the vent holes and fashion some sort of lid for the top for while it's off.

Works very well. Very quiet, no smell. Makes a nice little night light too. I have one for my home at back door and one for my camper.

I plugged these in as soon as the box came in from Amazon. Last year I had an outbreak of fruit flies, it was horrible. At one point I contemplated moving or burning down the house but my own laziness deterred me. This year I have two objectives...kill every gnat or fruit fly within a 5 mile radius of my house and the other is to torture and destroy any wasp that I can get to. I got stung twice last year ( one could be classified by the military as a million dollar wound) by the feared devil wasp (red wasps). I'm done playing miss nice guy and this year I will deploy my particular set of special skills to get even. I do think these are pricey for what you get...but if they get the job done I'll be happy. Time will tell.

I read the reviews of this product and viewed the photos posted. One stated after days they haven’t captured a single gnat or fruit fly. As soon as I received it I activated it by placing a sticky disc as instructed. You have to peel off an invisible film protecting the sticky side. The unit, with no exaggeration became populated with approximately 300 gnats…that makes me think she didn’t remove that membrane…granted no instructions come with it, but each disc has a “peel here” written small along a side of the edge. Great product if you have the ability to figure out these things, instructions or not. I love it and no longer have a houseful of irritation flying up my nose…

I think this STEM Flying Insect Fan Trap is actually a really great product overall. It really does work and has helped me keep my house much more free from flying insects, which has made a big difference in my day-to-day comfort. It’s easy to use, runs quietly, and I like that it’s a cleaner alternative compared to sprays. It does a good job controlling bugs indoors, and I’ve definitely noticed fewer flying insects since using it. That said, I do think it’s a little on the pricier side, which is why I’m taking off one star. The replacement filters can also be pretty expensive, so that’s something to keep in mind long term. Overall, even with the cost, it still works well and does what it’s supposed to do. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance way to manage flying insects indoors, this is a solid option.
