Something a bit different then the tons of gawdy plastic iPhone covers. I have a Kavaj case for my iPad air and I love it so much. I was hoping I would have the same luck with the 6+ case and so far I am not dissapointed.The leather is a bit distressed and it has a great classy look. The stitching is strong. The fit on the phone is perfect. The 6+ snaps into the case tightly, just the same as a well built molded plastic case.The edges raise above the iPhone screen just a bit so I can place my phone face down on a surface without fear of damage. Probably the best feature of this case is all the buttons, inputs and outputs are exposed so there is no restriction in sound and the power and volume buttons are excessable and work as sensitive as if I had no case on the phone at all.Surprisingly, this case is very slim and adds almost nothing as far as bulk to the phone. I keep my phone in my front pocket so a slim case is important to me. When I received my new 6+, the Kavaj cases were not out yet, so I bought the thinnest plastic case I could find on Amazon while I waited. The new Kavaj case appears to be no thicker. The card pockets on the back I probably will not use. They don’t add hardly any thickness to the case, but I would have prefered an option without the pockets if one had been presented to me. It also smells like leather (it’s the simple things in life that make me happy).I'm not sure how well this case would protect my phone from a 6 foot drop on concrete, and Im not about to find out. I know this is not a thick plastic lifeproof case, but it is perfect for my needs and I know it will protect my phone the way I use it and care for it.I have been a big fan of Kavaj for a while. A 4 star rating at least allows me to tell everyone I LOVE the case but it also manages expectations for a potential customer. This case lasts longer and longer with each new case I've ordered...which means this company cares about it's product and is constantly improving. It looks amazing. It's not bulky. You will reorder. BUT it won't last as long as a straight plastic case...and I think that some potential customers would expect that. I don't. I have now bought three...which is a testament to how much I love it but also the reason for 4 stars rather than 5. The top left corner is always the first part to break which sucks...but over time I have noticed a change in material and an improvement in lifespan. If they can figure out that blasted left upper corner they'll get a 5 stars. Having said that, that small problem won't keep me from re ordering. To be fair my last case lasted about 8 or 9 months with HEAVY use so it's not bad at all. Everything else about this case is amazing. I actually think I have 4 friends who now exclusively use this case because of me. I have the Kavaj "berlin" for the ipad and decided to give this case a try since I liked my ipad case so much. I was not disappointed. Case is extremely light and adds hardly no bulk to the size of the already big iphone 6 plus. It also appears to have enough lip to protect the screen when placed face down. I did not buy this case to store any cards in but it would work nicely if need be. The leather feels very nice and good attention to detail. For background I had the Apple leather case for the iphone 6 plus for about one day deciding that it was extremely overpriced and this case beats it hands down with about $20 less of a price. I would not hesitate to recommend this case. Love the cognac color which suits the black face of the 6+ nicely. This case is a definite keeper.If I had to point out one thing is that the upper left corner doesnt appear to go as far up as the other corners.
