The "shoulders" are at the exact right place--though because the cover has a drawstring closure, it should fit boards that taper at different places than mine. Note that the cover has little perforation holes which I didn't realize, but seems fine. I was certain from others' reviews that I'd need some sort of additional pad--but NO. This is fine all by itself to prevent any grid marks from coming through. (what are you guys ironing on--sheepskin?!)
