I live in a very rural area and I walk my dog at night. My neighborhood is home to many hungry foxes, bobcats and even a few bears, all of which come out at night in search of food. Sometimes they travel in packs, which makes them bolder and braver. Several of my neighbors report that garbage pails get opened, and chickens, rabbits and other small animals are attacked and killed by these predators. (They circulate Ring doorbell videos to corroborate their stories.) I travel with a very bright flashlight and an air horn in case I encounter any of these wild animals. The problem is that I don't have enough hands for the flashlight, the air horn, the dog and my "cleanup tools", should the need arise. (Passing cars can also see me, which is positive!) THIS HEADLAMP IS THE BRIGHTEST ONE I COULD FIND ON AMAZON, AND SOLVES THE PROBLEM OF TOO FEW HANDS. It's rechargeable, so I don't have to rely on batteries, and it has comfortable, adjustable straps so that it doesn't slip off. I've had a number of headlamps for different purposes, and this is the brightest. Fast delivery, customer service you can count on (if necessary) and quality build. If you walk your pet at night, you should have one of these for your pet's (and your) safety!

There are three things that I will always look for in a headlamp - 1) That it also has some type of light in the back so that you're visible from behind, 2) that the front light swivels/pivots somehow and is not stationary, and 3) That it is rechargeable. This light fills all three of those requirements. This light is really bright and illuminates a pretty wide area. I love that it has a strobe also, which would be a bonus safety precaution if it's foggy out. The countdown for the battery life is a really great feature also, so you'll know if it needs to be charged before you head out. This isn't some cheap thing like you might find at a dollar discount store, so it is a little heavy, but that's to be expected with the two batteries. This headlamp will get a lot of use at our house.

I purchased this headlamp and used it moderately for a about a year an a half. It's been backpacking, in attics, crawlspaces, and countless other places. I've even used it in the rain without issue. Recently, an issue (seemingly with the charge controller) caused the headlamp to stop charging. I contacted the seller for a warranty replacement and they sent me a new one. My friend also has this same headlamp (we both have the "black" version). He has had his long than I've had mine and his still works fine. The issue with the charge controller was probably just a fluke. We used our headsets backpacking and were able to use it for several days without charging. It also charges quickly with a small packable solar panel. I really like the different light modes. There is a super bright mode that is great for illuminating large areas in front of my while hiking or biking. Among the various other settings there is a softer diffuse light that is perfect for illuminating work I'm doing with my hands, without a hotspot straining my eyes. I'm very happy with the overall quality, customer service, and warranty. I defiantly recommend this headlamp to anyone who wants a bright headlamp with long battery life.

When you see the pictures it appears much smaller and lighter than it is. I feel like I should be in a Star Wars movie when I have it on. The features are as advertised. I just wasn't expecting something so large. I purchased three of these to be part of the Bug-Out bags we keep in every vehicle. Since it hangs on the outside of the bag for quick access, I will keep them. They have very good usability and distance lighting. The uniform battery makes changing out a set of batteries a snap, if you need prolonged use. You can even increase "size" of the batteries for additional lifespan. Just remember that the aluminum housing is going to get hot. Again, everything is as advertised. I would recommend this ite. Just remember that it is going to be bigger than you imagined; and bigger means heavier.

I bought 6 of these head lamps over 2 to 3 yr period. Everyone of them fails the same way, the plastic case around lights breaks in half or the plastic restraints holding the head band in the guide break. I live in a very very rural area and this headlamp produces the light I need on the homestead which is why I had bought 6 of them. These are used to do chores around the house not to mention this is listed as a work light but can't handle even light work. I reached out to the company to explain the situation on the 14 Oct 24 and today is 20 Oct 24 and they have not responded. The lights are bright and selection of lighting needs is very nice but the quality is something for under $10 and customer service is a negative 2 stars. Update 12/17/2024 The company reached out to me in November and gave a believable reason for delay. There was some delay on my end forgetting to respond to the company. They apologized and immediately shipped a new headlamp. They inquired about where the headlamps were failing at and if I could provide pictures (which I still need to do) They really did do a great job on customer service. Thats why I gave them 3 stars because the headlamp still has the same failure prone deficiencies' for manufacturing and batteries start getting week and how they last between a charge. This is a fantastic headlamp and very bright for dark nights. But after this headlamp fails in 6 months I will move on to a different one for my needs. Like I said I now have atleast 6 maybe 7 of them and I love them they just don't hold up

UPDATE: I received a replacement headlamp from the seller due to the issue I brought up in my original review regarding the charging port cover being flimsy and ineffective. The replacement item seems to have a better-fitting cover and stays in like it should... most of the time. To err on the side of caution, I put a piece of painter's tape over the area to make sure it stays closed when it should. I'm still loving the incredible brightness this little guy displays! For all of it's "bulkiness", it really isn't heavy to wear. The spiral portion of the cord allows for ample stretching (could come in handy if it needs to be mounted ["worn"] on something larger than your head such as a very bulky parka hood). It charges fast in my truck with the USB cord, but I haven't worn it long enough to drain the battery completely yet. Mostly I love knowing I can always have a juiced-up source of bright light in my primary vehicle. Seller made some stellar efforts to make sure I was a happy customer. My post office doesn't deliver to our physical address - that has to be done by another carrier such as UPS or FedEx. Seller was mailing item either to the wrong address or via the wrong carrier, so it kept getting sent back. Throughout the many attempts to send me a replacement, the seller kept in constant contact with me via email. Even when I was expressing my skepticism about their honesty in sending another unit, they were very polite and persevered in resolving the problem. All of this with a bit of a language barrier. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought this head lamp specifically to keep in my truck for emergencies and camping, especially in back country. I live in a very rainy region. This lamp appears to be up to the job...EXCEPT for the fact that it will be short-lived because the charging port cover is so loose that it will only take one rainy excursion to potentially compromise its overall life. I've done a lot of fiddling, trying to seat the cover better in the hole, but one small bump or nudge and it's knocked out again. Will continue searching for a better light.

This are very good quality. Last me longer than other head lights. Very bright. Functions well.
